The ABC of Preventing Sexually Transmitted Infections

 Sexually transmitted infections comprise of more than twenty-five infections capable of being transferred from person to person primarily during sexual contact.In the US alone, more than 15 million people are infected with STI yearly. Despite popular tales surrounding them, these infections cannot be spread shaking hands,eating with infected persons or contact with such inanimate objects as toilet seats.If you are already a victim and do not want to infect others or you are healthy but do not want to be infected these are the steps(arranged in alphabetical order) you are going to take:

ABSTINENCE: Avoid sex altogether.
BUSY:Do things that will keep your mind off pre-marital sex. The idle hand is the devil's workshop.
CIRCUMCISION:Circumcision helps prevent some STIs.
CONDOM:Always use a condom if you must engage in sex. It helps in preventing a lot of STIs,although may not be useful in preventing some kinds of chancre and pubic lice.
DIAGNOSIS: If unsure of the symptoms you are experiencing,go for an early diagnosis from a qualified medical practitioner.
DRUGS:Use drugs like antibiotics prescribed by the doctor only.
EDUCATION: Be interested in your body and consult the doctor if you have some "funny" feelings.
FIDELITY:If you are an adult,get married and stick to your spouse until death do you part. If unmarried, be mutually faithful to your partner.

GAGE:Make a resolution to be celibate or to stick to only a partner, through thick or thin.
 HYGIENE: Cleanliness, they say, is next to Godliness.Some STIs such as lice infection, scabies
